Abdominal dermolipectomy consists of drying off abdominal skin excess, which means drying off skin, subcutaneous cell tissue and fat. This surgery involves umbilical transposition and it normally treats the weakness of the muscular wall (rectus abdominis muscles diastasis). It is generally found in women after pregnancy or in persons who have lost a lot of weight and in the so called pendular abdomen. It leaves a hidden scar along the pubis and around the navel.
Abdominal Mini Dermolipectomy is a surgery that is performed when a full abdominal dermolipectomy is not necessary. This procedure can be applied without the need of lifting the navel. In general, it is done in combination with liposuction of the waist. It only leaves a scar at the pubic level.
